Application

• for screened (shielded) cable (series KD 500)
• for unscreened (unshielded) cable (série KD 510)

Description/properties

• Construction pins and socket
  • the material of the contact parts is of tin-plated copper or brass
  • the socket is supplied with copper beryllium sleevetype spring assuring excellent contact pressure
  • on request available also nickel plated contact parts
• Housing
  
  • the plug and receptacle insulation is made of TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) with excellent environmental resistance and good fluid resistance, capable to withstand attack from chemicals typically present on the airfield
  • the insulation also withstands exposure to UV-radiation and ozone

Electrical parameters

• current rating 25 A
• voltage rating 5000 V

Packing material

• the connectors are packed in recyclable cartons
• each connector kit is individually packed in low density polyethylene (LDPE) plastic bag and contains:
  
  • 1 pair of plug and receptacle housings
  • 1 pair of pin and socket connectors
  • 1 locking device (polypropylene)
  • silicone grease (inside the housing)
  • guiding pin for receptacle (PA or PP)
  • cleaning cloth., installation instructions
• addition in series KD 500:
  
  • 2 earthing connectors (tin-plated brass) with 350 mm long 2,5 sqmm copper wires
  • 1 earthing connector with 2 screws (nickel-plated brass); connector housing of polyamide 6.6.
